The East Coast Sidecar Roundup (ECSR) is a speedway sidecar series, that also includes dirt track sidecars, that is run at different venues on the east coast of Australia. It is normally run between August and December and this year is the first year of running double headers at each round.
The ECSR series is a night event at each venue with the final double header being hosted by Albury Wodonga Motorcycle Club in November followed by Wagga Motorcycle Sports Club the next night. Points are scored for each race and tally up to see the best race at the end of the night in the final. These points also go towards an overall series presentation at Wagga.
The teams race with four sidecars per race over three or four laps per race. It is quick, exciting and very entertaining to watch these talented racers steer their modern three wheeled rocketships around the speedway oval.
